Growing
The horticultural side of Farm Effect is ever expanding and is a part of our project that most of our visitors find a lot of joy in. The yard now boasts a new poly tunnel and a variety of raised beds where our visitors can feel the satisfaction of planting something and watching it grow, learning to nurture plants and gain the reward of harvesting the fruits of our labours.
We grow a variety of vegetables and flowers here, everything is grown from seed for people to enjoy watching the stages of its development, learn where some of our foods come from and understand how. Care farm clients are involved in the whole process from potting up, preparing soil, planting out, watering, weeding, picking and eating.
